Rocky Mountain High Experience - A Tribute To John Denver Tucson Concert reviews
How he has grown up (or atleast grown out)!
A reggae/hip-hop artist, K'Naan started the concert, which was a little unique to my personal tastes. He was good, very active, and moving on stage, entertaining, but again, I can't comment a lot because I really don't have a scope of that genre. I came there for Rocky Mountain High Experience - A Tribute To John Denver.
After a god-awful wait for Mraz, Toca, and co. to get on stage, I was shocked to see Jason. This was not the clean-shaven, trim, and sweet Mraz that's been on his albums and in pictures for years. He had his hair grown out into short dreads, held up in a doo-rag, nails grown out (or picks?) for playing his acoustic guitar, and facial hair! He had this ragged goatee! It was hard to believe that this was him until he started singing--and oh did he sing. Jason is so full of energy and passion for what he's singing. That's why he's one of my favorite artists. He kept the audience a part of the show through most of it, and pulled a good one on the whole audience near the end.
Not only did his music make me smile and get up and dance, his antics did just as well.
